    first of do a settings reset from settings>general. Do a FULL reset of everything.

    If that fails restore and run iplus/iliberty to unlock.

    Always make sure you set the phone up as new when iTunes recognises it for the first time as restoring from back up can cause errors like your having now.

    Finally if your on an official iPhone contract then disconnect your computer from the Internet before the restore finishes and then unlock or iTunes will automatically activate it and mess up youtube when you unlock it.
    iPhone US 8GB
    FW 1.0.2--> iUnlock--> iPhoneSIMfree--> 1.1.1 --> 1.1.2--> Soft upgrade 1.1.3 --> 1.1.4 using signal.app
    iPhone UK 16GB
    FW 1.1.3 OOB --> 1.1.4 --> iPlus 1.2 unlocked!

    I read a couple of days a go a person with same problem as yours. I think he was on a phone company called O2, I don't remember, he tried a Sim from another company and the iPhone worked perfectly, so also Check with someone's Sim from another company.

    i have the same problem....i have a week, 46, 1.1.2OTB, update to FW 1.1.4....i tried so many methods to unlock but can't make call. By the way, i have T-Mobile US. i've also bought a prepaid AT&T sim, i can make call with that sim only when i'm near a AT&T Store or an Apple Store. As so as i step out, about 100 feet away, my phone dead. can't make calls, it keep saying that call fail or the dial screen just hang up by itself. I call in Apple to ask about this situation, the tech support guy laugh when he heard my story. He say this is the first time he heard this story. i don't know what to do. i brought it to an apple store where i live, they suggest that i should restore, but if i restore i'm going to be stuck at activation screen and they know that i don't have a contract with AT&T....Anyone have any idea about this situation?
