Default Unlocked Iphone, Ssh And Battery Life

I unlocked my iphone with the pacay method, and used ibrickr to load the unlock. simple.

I've read a bunch of stuff about not disabling SSH after unlocking. Would I have SSH enabled and thus draining my battery without me knowing? This could be a major problem for those of us who aren't turbo nerds.

    Cheers, Richard

Run INdependence and check what it says abut SSH.

So, you're saying by default, mine would be left on?

yes it is left on. you can install UIctl off the apptapp and use it to turn on/off ssh. use the "unload -w" and "load -w" to load/unload ssh

i used the winstaller/paycay/ibrickr method to unlock. Just now I went to look in system/lib/LaunchDaemons but I can't see any ssh or dropbear running. So maybe they're installed but not running by default? I also ssh & use Winscp to try sftp or ssh in just to confirm. Correct me if i'm looking in wrong place cuz I don't want daemon processes running in the background either. Thanks.

is there a GUI for windows that lets me turn turn SSH on/off?

UIctl installs on iPhone from Installer - but be careful to unload only ssh and nothing else.

You need to change SSH passwords first, just in case you reactivate in the future.
