    Default Unlock Gone after Restore?

    Hi Guys!

My iPhone had to be restored today, again , but now im getting this message:
"incorrect sim this iphone must be used with an approved sim"

Its an OTB firmware 1.1.1 unlocked with anysim 1.1.1 (unfortunatly for the counter not the P version, but still 4 tries remaining). But now, my unlock appears to be gone.

This is like the 30th! restore ive had to do already but never had this problem before.

Is it safe to use Anysim 1.1.1 again?

You just need to activate your iPhone. no need to run anySIM again

Of course ive activated it and indeed it should work. It has worked 30 times already (im having a serious problem with my phone but thats going to be another thread if it still persists after FW1.1.2).

But not this time! What to do!

    Anysim 1.1.1 again? Onesim first?

I dont know cause this should not happen!

Maybe to make it easier to get to a solution, I had a white screen before doing the restore so Itunes did a full restore.

    To make things clear:

Activated and unlocked with Anysim 1.1.1.

Had to do a restore for the 30th time and never had this problem before. Activated.

"incorrect sim this iphone must be used with an approved sim" error as if the phone isnt unlocked anymore. Did many restores without this error so this is strange.

    What to do?
Unlock again with Anysim 1.1.1? Use Onesim and then use Anysim again? I dont know, please help.

how did you jailbreak and activate after the restore? are you using AT&T SIM + service plan?
I'm eluding to the lockdownd file that may have not been replaced.

After this restore I did the same I always do:
    Set the prefs.
    Go to Jailbreakme.com

    Im not using AT&T.

Its the first and only time ive encoutered this problem since I unlocked the phone, 30 restores back. Its weird.

I have seen many ambiguous posts regarding this, but just to make sure I have the most up-to-date straight answers: Can I successfully restore my OTB 1.1.1 (just purchased yesterday) unlocked/jailbroken iPhone back to factory fresh 1.1.1? Do I need to put my iPhone into recovery mode(DFU mode) in order to do this? Or can I just connect my iPhone like usual and just shift+click the Restore button in iTunes? Also, I read somewhere that Apple has fixed the 1.1.1 firmware so that the TIFF exploit no longer works. Can anyone confirm if this is true? If so, does this mean I cannot jailbreak/unlock my phone if I use the 1.1.1 firmware I download from apple? I have downloaded the 1.1.1 firmware from unlock.no website, which apparently links to apple's site to obtain the firmwares. I read in other places that some people are unsuccessful in their iPhone restore and got their phone stuck in Recovery Mode. Just want to make sure I can clean my iPhone and re-unlock/jailbreak it if some of my 3rd party app go awol. TIA for any help with clarification.
