    Default Unlock attempts

I wanted to clarify my understanding of unlock attempts
I'm fully aware that we have a limit of attempts after which the phone sticks to att, and that the dev team has not come up with the solution yet.

    Anyway If someone knows ,

do these attempts count the no of times you have successfully unlocked for eg. if you have unlocked your phone once and then repatch it or restore to 1.1.1 ,then are you losing a attempt already, and which means even after successfully unlocking 3 times and the phone somehow getting locked again means we cant unlock it anymore

or does it cout it as when we fail and if we fail 3 times in succession and then we cant attempt this anymore.I believe it should be this case, can anyone confirm this .

Well, today I have tryed to unf..k my 1.0.2 baseband which was damaged by AnySim. I have tried many times to restore baseband with different methods, even once I have lost WiFi connection (I was doing it through PuTTy) and I thought I have screwed my baseband beyond repair. So the method which worked was this:

    1. Upgrade to 1.1.1. Looks like baseband gets erased and reflashed to version 4
    2. Restore to 1.0.2. So I had working 1.0.2 with baseband 4
    3. Downgrade baseband using ierase and secpack to 3.14
    4. Unlock baseband 3.14 using iUnlock

    A bit cumbersome but worked.:p

did u get incorrect sim error everytime you tried unlocking, did u manually check via minicom ur phone's simstate?

this might have had been something different, even though if this is right ie baseband erasing undo unlock attempts i'm pretty happy with that.

anyone going on the irc chat has some news?

Well I did get incorrect sim error when I upgraded to 1.1.1 and after downgrading to 1.0.2. I did not check manually simstate.

that is a normal issue with anysim, it'll happen to all phones unlocked via anysim or its precedents ,however unlock attempts is a different issue, wher in after a point the phone becomes locked to att network
