    1. Run iTunes

    2. Put the phone into Recovery Mode (wait until the pop up of iTunes saying that was found a phone in Recovery Mode... hold them about 25 seconds)

    3. Try to restore

Hold both power and home for 25 secs, or just the home button? If i put it in restore mode i hold both power and home for 10secs then release the power and hold home untill it shows it itunes?

Run iTunes then put the phone in Recovery Mode but HOLD the buttons (home + power) until the nagscreen of iTunes show up saying that WAS FOUND A PHONE IN RECOVERY MODE.

Choose the firmware (1.1.1_Restore.ipsw -> rename it to .IPSW if it's like .ZIP)

No. It will not turn on. I have it on charge at the moment to see if the battery is flat.
Even while it is on charge in the dock, it is a blank screen, and still it wont turn on.

I have almost the same problem too. When i try to restore via Itunes in Recovery Mode the phone just randomly crashes in the middle of the restore and starts flashing white lines or a white screen and just shows weird crap on the screen. Can anything be done about that, because it seems like I cant restore it via itunes because it would crash in between that time.

Yeah...i tried almost everything...but it just crashes while trying to do a restore...I am willing to fix the hardware part of it...but I am not sure at all what is the cause of this. The screen just goes all crazy and dunno what causes that. Maybe just sell it on ebay as As-is since I have been already messing with it for like 2-3 weeks and still nothing. Gah, frikin Apple. They proably made it so they brick easy as hell, and don't care about servicing them. All they want is money from phones and dunt give a shit what happens after to them. bastards.
