Default Unable to join the network...

    16Gb iPhone, firmware 1.1.4 - baseband 04.04.05_G.

"Unable to join the network..." is the message I get when trying to join a network.
There is no problem with WiFi - I have mac-address and iPhone find my wireless network (that is temporary set totally open without any security). Other 1.1.4 iPhones find and joines my wireless without problem.

    I did this:
dfu restore to 1.1.1, restore to 1.1.1, kick it out of restore mode with iBrickr, iPlus 1.2 activate & jaibreak (baseband still 04.04.05_G): WiFi works 100% (no problem joining found wireless network).

    Then
dfu restore to 1.1.2, restore to 1.1.2, kick it out of restore mode with iBrickr, iPlus 1.2 activate & jaibreak (baseband still 04.04.05_G): WiFi works, but "Unable to join the network...".

Then I did exactly the same procedure for firmware 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 and still "Unable to join the network...."

At last I "returned" to the dfu procedure to 1.1.1 and WiFi works 100% again.

Any suggestion for the WiFi to work 100% on 1.1.4??

    same phone here. No problem.
    Running 1.1.4 + 04.04.05_G BB + 3.9FB bootloader. Unlocked using iplus & iLiberty+ months ago.
Not sure why yours is not working.
Did you try a reset all ?

Of course, tried them all: Reset Network Settings, Reset All Settings, Erase All Contents and Settings on 1.1.2, 1.1.3, 1.1.4..... "Unable to join the network...".

I had the exact same problem like you. One day I could join every network I wanted without a problem then all of a sudden I would get "Unable to join network" message just like you. So, one day I just happened to stop by a Starbucks and tried to connect to their free WiFi and it joined without a problem at all. Later that night, I went home and tried to connect to my AD HOC network and bam, all is well again. Not sure what the hell happen but now my WiFi is back to normal again and able to join any network at will.

Well, I live in Norway and no Starbucks here...
I have also tried to join other network and the same error "Unable to join network..." using firmware 112,113,114, but works on 111 - all with the same baseband.

    None with a clue/solution?
