Unable to join the network
I am attempting to jailbreak my phone, but it won't join the network. I've searched all over this forum and others for an answer, but nothing seems to work.
I have an 8GB iPhone Serial #7u746******. I downgraded to 1.1.1 firmware and am stuck there. I'm guessing it has the 4.06 bootloader, but I thought that just meant I couldn't unlock the SIM. I'm not sure how to verify the bootloader, because I don't understand the ssh thing.
When I check the ip address of the network on the iPhone it does not match the address of my Mac. Is that a problem? Even if I enter it manually it doesn't seem to matter.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Darrell
I just found out you can access the Modem Firmware version on the About screen.
Mine is 04.02.13 G
Does this mean it can be SIM unlocked? Once I can access my network that is.
Still can't do that.

Are you trying to join an adhoc network? Mine always says "Unable to connect" but it actually connects :| i have no idea as to why it does that. It seems like the iPhones don't like adhoc networks for some reasons..
PS: I"m on a 1.1.2 oob too
