Default unable to jailbreak 1.1.2 nor back to 1.0.2

4gb used to be 1.0.2 until someone borrowed it some how did something (not sure if it was unlocked or not) it may have been since it seems like IMEI is damaged.

I tried restoring it to 1.1.1 or 1.0.2. it seems to install 1.1.1 but wont install 1.0.2

on 1.1.2 when i go through jailbreakme steps (*#307#) i get to loading browser but wifi indicator does not show up. using *#301# when i click home, i dont see any wifi siginal to click on.

it just maybe that wifi has been damaged some how.

As it sits, its restored to 1.1.2

    Any thoughts?

You cannot use Jailbreakme.com on 1.1.2. You have to downgrade via DFU to 1.1.1, jailbreakme.com it, then oktoprep, and finally UPGRADE to 1.1.2.

the screen shows "connect to screen" icon
    0049 confirmed on IMEI

How do I downgrade via DFU?

I want to keep it at 1.1.1

I tried restoring it on 1.1.1 via iTunes that was not successful. After the 1.1.1 install error, I try installing 1.0.2 and it does not even let me install anything / restore.

I am actually at this step

"Choose to enter DFU mode. You need to choose the extracted iPhone 1.0.2 firmware. To do it, rename the iPhone 1.0.2 we downloaded in Step 4 to iPhone1,1_1.0.2_1C28_Restore.zip, extract it using StuffIt Expander."

Close iNdependence and open iTunes again to start the restore once you got the following message.

what do i restore it to? 1.0.2 again in the itunes?
