Will do that asap, just recieved a new iMac to replace my old computer so I still need to download Photoshop etc.

i downloaded the files iphone,1_1.0.2_1c28_restore.ipsw but its a zip file not ipsw.. does it matter? if not should i extract it?
#8 PACAY.rar file cannot be open or cannot be extracted...in addition, i downloaded file Apptapp.exe should i alway install?
please advise as i have to unlock my iphone before i use this method. thanks

thanks for the updated scheme. so, if i understand it correctly, if i go to an apple store today and buy a brand new 1.1.1 phone., there is no GUI-based solution out there yet that can fully unlock and activate the phone, right? Except for iPhoneSimFree, which can do it if you pay them?

same question as #66 I have a new iphone with 1.1.1 firmware ..shd I downgrade to 1.0.2 and use it as itouch and wait for unlock

or do nothing and wait for unlock
imagine having this amazing thing right in ur pocket but u cant use it :-(

AT&T activated sim == 2 yr iPhone contract sim || Any Cingular sim ?? I will stick to Cingular but I don't want to sign a new 2 yr contract. 1.0.2 does that without unlock but does 1.1.1 do the same?
