If you have BSD&SSH on the iPhone nere is the way to go:

Connect to iPhone with SFTP (WinSCP on Windows, Fugu/Cyberduck on Mac) and delete Installer.app in /Applications

    Hope that helps,

I am in the same boat. In 2007 I bought 2 iPhones with 1.0.2 (ic28) and modem FW 03.14.08_G (I may have upgraded that modem FW). I unlocked and jailbroke both phones. Have been on T-Mobile ever since. Now I would like to upgrade to the latest FW that is jailbreakable. I accidentally installed the new version of the wireless Installer, and now that's broken. I don't understand how to use SFTP (no instructions?) and I am not really sure what BSD and SSH is and I found I cannot install them with my old version of iBrickr. It just crashes.

So I need some instructions, and please, please dumb it down for me.

EDIT: NVM using iLiberty solved my problems so that i could downgrade Installer.

Default i cant activate my 2.2 iphone?

I purchased my iphone 1 year ago from america and it was unlocked. originally it was running 1.0.2 software which was running a vodafone sim card. I then went on holiday to america and i seemed to have no signal! so after a long wait i decided to become a legit iphone user and therefore i purchased a o2 iphone sim card, for a while i had a fairly decent connection to o2, but then i started to get worse and often had no signal or 1 bar. So i decided to update my iphone to 2.2, after the phone had been restored it said "the sim card in this iphone does not appear to be supported". Now i can not unlock the iphone in pwnage or ZIphone?
    can someone please help me!
    thanks
