I think AnySIM only needs the SIM to activete it. Because I got the message "iPhone is Activated" before I used iAsign. In your case, you used the ATT SIM and you needed to use iasign.

I would check which Modem firmware is on the iPhone. Go Settings->General->About

I guess it must be 04.01.13_G (which is fine). Unless you messed up with it. Again you dont give any details. How did you downgrade? Why did you use anysim?Did you flashed the baseband? How do you know anysim didn't work: it said it couldn't unlock or you can't use a different SIM card?

You have asked 4 times and still dont give all the details. How on Earth are we supposed to help you?

I kind of disagree here. AnySIM is an unlocking method.
Then you need the lockdownd renaming an iasign to activate.
I don't know if this "In your case" it is me, because I did not used the ATT Sim.

BTW: I just checked the original guide by mando http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=11708
In which this one is based and the FIRST line says:
You need to have your sim card on your iphone while activating it!!

But alexpunct proved? it wrong on a previous post here. So it could be that it simply doesn't matter which Sim card is inside the iPhone using the method with Touchfree.

i think this is a lot simple.. i think it's enough to activate with touchfree then unlock with anysim (all with at&t sim inside). I will give it a try tomorrow (i have another 3 brand new iphones that need to bo unlocked). I will post some details, it's too late now to do anything but sleep

I guess you must put your iPhone in recovery mode.

And instead of restore itunes will ask to upgrade.

    Let us know tomorrow.
My idea is: Touchfree jailbreaks and installs SSH server. The truth is after TouchFree it doesn't ask for activation.. hmmm.. but I always thought the activation is done when dealing with the lockdownd files and iasign.

    Well tomorrow we will know.
The important thing is this guide really works and is easier than the dev-team in my opinion (for windows). No downgrading to 1.0.2 (maybe that is what Touchfree does..but who cares!!)

sorry man ... ok mine is 04.01.13_G ,....
i downgrade and restored it many time with two different guides one of them is from youtube :
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FE85O...elated&search=
and the rest of the guide to unlock the iphone by using anysime or iUnlock but both of them didn't work with me.

i downgrade by using this guide too :
    http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/show...0084#post90084

but i stopped on Putty step.
    ----------

Did you flashed the baseband? i didn't understand that ...

    ---------------

How do you know anysim didn't work: it said it couldn't unlock or you can't use a different SIM card?

i taped on anysim after i installed it from installer in the first guide from youtube not in the second guide i used ... so after i taped on it and let it finsh everything i restart my iphone and i turn it on again still giving me the message of u r using another sim card bla bla ..

i hope i make it more clear for u
