There seems to be people working to patch 1.1.2 lockdownd, but till then.....
in the assign steps we have to temporarily use the lockdownd from 1.02 in this case we use 1.1.1's patched lockdownd and then after running the exe we put the orignal 1.1.2 file back to libexec, thats what we do , pls confirm this

That is right. Use a 1.1.1 patched lockdownd. It will allow you to activate but the phone part will not work. The use IASign and then revert to the stock lockdownd.

Connect to PC or Mac the phone while powered off.
Hold home and press power. Wait till the Apple logo shows, but don't release home.
Keep holding the home button until the connector shows on the phone screen and the computer displays a message that found a phone in recovery mode.

That did for an old 1.0.1 that upgraded all the way to 1.1.2!

alright will just try this thx, but a weird thing - when i was in 1.1.2 i managed to successfully run anysim 1.2 and got a unlock successful prompt, next i downgraded to 1.02 and as soon as i activated my att sim started working, next without unlocking again (which i should have had coz i think the bb should have got locked again) i upgraded to 1.1.1 and after activation the att sim wont work - any explanation for this?

what do i do with the osx unix file? i've already downgraded back to 1.1.1, installed installer and the oktoprep tweak, upgraded to 1.1.2, and now step 5 tells me to doubleclick on the osx file... not sure what to open it with.

I looked at it in text edit and it says "#!/bin/sh java -jar jailbreak.jar"

I had no clue what this meant so i just decided to open up the jailbreak.jar file and ran it without installing ssh and got an error reading, "Cannot connect to your device: Please plug your iPod/iPhone into your computer. If you're still having trouble, restart the computer, reconnect the device and try again"

I did all that but to no avail! Whats up with this osx file?
