I've downgraded, activated and jailbroke my UK phone - no probs.

The way back up to 1.1.2 seems to be a bit more problematic at this stage, as far as I understand due to no 'ultimate' version of the lockdownd file. If I do feel in an adventurous mood and go ahead and play with it anyway, what's the worst that can happen? Will I be able to go back to where I've been before simply by downgrading to 1.1.1 again?

Also, do we know at this stage if, after I've upgraded to 1.1.2, iDemocracy 2.0 can reliably activate and jailbreak the phone?

Well I have a 1.1.2 UK phone which I

1. Downgraded to 1.1.1
2. Jailbroke
3. Ran OmniPrep
4. Upgraded to 1.1.2
5. Replaced lockdownd

Now I have a fully working phone on o2 non iPhone contract. So it does work.

Not tried iDemocracy because I managed to do everything before that came out. At worst you will have to start all over again.

the new dev team's jailbreak script provides all the necessary things, no need to mess with the lockdownd... worked like a charm on my UK iPhone... downgraded to 1.1.1, jailbreaked via jailbreakme.com, installed oktoprep, updated to 1.1.2 and ran the new jailbreak... a glorious iPod touch is what I have now

because the new jailbreak is maybe, um, 2 days old? most guides were written before that...

Righto, I went ahead with Jailbreak 1.1.2, and it did it all for me without a hitch.
