There is myths theorys untrue facts and comments so can someone please give me a clear answer, i would like tp know if i can at the moment downgrade a UK 1.1.2 and unlock it?

I'm not bothered that it will not be a 1.1.2 just that i can have a UK iPhone

1. Downgrade the firmware to 1.1.1
2. Jailbreak so it works like an ipod (worth £269 just for this)

You can not

Unlock the sim restrictions yet or use an existing o2 sim

The reason you cannot use the sim yet is that the baseband is different for UK phones than for US phones with 1.1.2

Yes i didn't think there was currently anyway to Downgrade and then unlock...

Does anyone know how the iphoneman on ebay is getting 1.1.2 Uk iphone's to work with 02 Payandgo & Tesco prepay by downgrading it to 1.1.1?

if you could downgrade to 1.1.1 or 1.0.2 turbosim should work

from what I read, if you have a fresh 1.1.2 iPhone, you can downgrade to 1.0.2 then reflash baseband than update to 1.1.1, unlock and then you will have a 100% working 1.1.1 iPhone...
please correct me if I am wrong !

If it is a UK 1.1.2 OTB - You are wrong. You cannot reflash it as the bootloader is different.

If it is a 1.1.2 that has been upgraded from 1.0.2/1.1.1 then you may be able to, although - there is no concrete method atm.

i would say if you have the current secpack for 1.1.2 (which is allready retrieved) you should at least be able to use ieraser to erase the baseband and flash a fresh 102 or 111 after that.

you can't....

ieraser fails with bus error on the new bootloader....
