TZones-COMVERSE Error - No internet

I posted in the GPRS thread as well but i wanted to post as a main thread in the event anyone else has had this problem and/or fixed it. I know f at least one other individual having the same problems as I am.

I setup the proxy and preferences files exactly as the gprs thread said to and have no internet access. My iphone is pulling an IP address but has no safari, stocks, weather, email, anything.

The only thing it CAN do is pull up the main yahoo.com website. It won't function with any of the other features, or load any other websites.

I am getting an error that reads "internal error. You do not have access..." The page title reads Comverse at the top, for each and every website that loads as an error.

My APN is setup correctly and I've quadruple-hundred checked both of the files that allow the proxy hack to work. It is all set up correctly.

Please help and thank you in advance for reading my post.

if you just signed up for tzones, with in an hour, you'll see this. i was seeing the exact same thing. yahoo was the only site that wouldnt get the comverse error. after an hour or two, all sites worked fine.

i signed up last night and got the activated message this morning--thoughts? It still wont load anything other than yahoo.com, no mail, weather, anything

also--popping the sim back into my razr, tzones works from there...but putting the sim back into the iphone yields nothing

You didn't do the Proxy.pac mod...check out this thread, read around come of the first few and more of the last few and you'll know what to do.Thread

I know my files are correct because i had everything working yesterday. I tried again today, and wallah, comverse error. Do you have any other ideas?

Maybe tmo is blocking everyone?

I have it on prepay, and I get the same error.....so they might have shut that loophole down because of the iPhone?

thats sounds highly likely.... i just signed up. and only tzones and yahoo site work... no other site... google.com etc works

nevermind... proxy is working for me now... all sites that is port 80... i guess i needed to keep on trying... it's been 6hrs since my activation...

i did the proxy/mod files trick... powercycle. browse a website using wifi... turned off wifi, go back to browser and clicked on a link... works
