About LinkBacksIve tried what uve said on my iPhone 3G, but it is in the Emergency Call screen, not sure if that makes a difference, when i hold down both buttons, it dosnt power off, it just stays there with the red slider at the top! Ive been trying for days, PLZ SOMEONE HELP ME!

Sounds like you maybe have a broken home button. Getting the red slider requires only holding down the sleep/wake button.
