    Default turboSIM problem ( SOLVED!!!)

    heya.

i have a 1.1.1 phone and downgraded to 1.0.2. i activated it using iNdependance. everything works except phone and sms.

i bought a turboSIM and used this tut http://iphone.simbunch.com/turbosim.php to get my iphone workin...

everything worked fine. but at the end when i should open SIM APPLICATIONS in the phone settings there is no such thing. what could that be?

(i used the ATT SIM which came with the phone. when i throw it in the phone with the turboSIM there is no NO SERVICE or WRONG sim. just no signal and no service provider in the upper left corner.)

any ideas on what i could do?

hey, remove the line you added to commcentre.plist via ssh and reboot your phone, you should then see sim applications and be able to complete the steps

    Cheers

Was your 1.1.1 phone an upgraded 1.0.2 phone and not a virgin 1.1.1 out of the box?

If so, bad luck. Turbosim won't work for you, i think.

I just bought a turbosim to unlock my out of the box 1.1.1 iPhone
But I was pretty sure that this method should have worked...

are you moving the commcenter file off the phone to edit?
If so I would start over, restore your phone again and this time use ssh to edit the commcenter file - seems to me like something got screwed up with your commcenter file along the way - sorry if this turns out to be time wasted

P.S: Just for info, I am using 1.1.1 with a turbosim on a phone that shipped with 1.0.2 and was updated
