so does anyone have a unlocked tmobile phone with the 5.99 internet plan????? i was just wonering if someone has this and has gotten their bill. i want to make sure that they aren't chargeing us something extra because were using an iphone and not their phones. also i wanted to make sure that the text plans work with the unlocked iphone i didnt want to get charged for all the texts i sent and received.?????

I don't think I have gotten a bill for a full month that I've had the iPhone yet, but I'm really not worried about it.

I used the 5.99 plan for my Dash smartphone (every bit as against the rules for use on this plan as an iPhone is) for months and months before this, and never had a problem.

My bill will hit my account tomorrow. I will post an update on it.

Not to sound like a Tmobile sales rep (I'm not), but there is a $4.99 add-on for texting that includes any 400 messages a month.

I held off getting it for a long time until I realized that I was going over $4.99 in usage half the time, and the other half was when I was careful to not use too many just to save a few bucks. It's really easier just to give up and pay the 5 bucks, so you don't have to worry about overeages... Is it really worth scolding your friends whenever they send you a text because it costs you $.10 ?

Here's my data usage as of 10/04/07:

Use Them Or Lose Them Off Peak Minutes Unlimited - USED - 721.0
Internet Access Whenever Megabytes Unlimited - USED - 406.9 --- Whoa!!!! I guess they charge by the minute now????

My billing cycle ends on the 9th or 10th of each month. I have 3 other lines on my T-Mobile account. Before I got IPhone, I was using Wing with the same data plan.

if you read it right they charge by the megabyte and you my friend used 406.9mb not minutes =]

I'm not on the 5.99 plan, for me the extra $14 is worth it for T-Mobile Hotspots.
