Things I need to know before money is wasted.

Ok, I really want an iPhone, heres the thing. I have Verizon. Although I have no experience in jailbreaking any of these things, I'm all for learning, but before I act or waste money, I need to found out things about what needs to be done, and if it will work, and if Verizon will even activate it.

All facts you can find about this is greatly appreciated.

Verizon wont need to activate it. just buy your iphone, follow instructions in the forum, and there you have it!

But why wouldn't I have to get them to activate it, I just want to know how it would still work, so I can send text messages and do things like i do my regular phone.

So, I really wanna know if it's as simple as Unlock>Done.

In theory yes it is but in your case NO.

You unlock and activate your iPhone by hacking it using - my advice is pwnage.

Then you just put your verizon SIM card in the phone and it will work

BUT I DON'T THINK VERIZON IS COMPATABLE WITH IPHONE

My understanding is verizon is CDMA and iPhone is GSM - the hardware in the phone won't work on the verizon network - so you won't be able to do that!

These guys are being dicks to you. Their is nothing you can do to use the Iphone on Verizon. It's a technical impossibility. The Iphone is GSM, Verizon is CDMA, and nothing can be done about that. The Iphone won't work on Verizon for the same reason no other Cingular phone works on Verizon.
