why'd you tell them what phone you have? i would've just told them i had one of their crappy phones in their lineup. they don't need to know what device you have. that's the beauty of GSM!

Because it does not matter what phone I have. They sell a service. The service is network service. They also sell phones, but you are not required to buy one of their phones to use their service, simple as that. They are 2 seperate parts of the company.
I chose the phone I wanted and the provider I wanted and did not care if they knew that it was an unsupported phone. That releases some of their liability anyway. If the phone I had before were to break, they had to warranty it. This way they do not have to worry about that.
That said, this is a non-issue now. I got the service I wanted. It was just a bad decision by the supervisor to deny me service.
All my other experiences with t-mobile have been positive. They are the only company I have ever seen roll plans back a month to cover charges that you incurred. (Went over on text messages one time and they predated my service update to cover $100 in charges.)
I still walked away a winner. It just took me 24 hours longer than it needed to. That and the fact that my new plan (with internet and unlimited text) is $85 a month vs my friends ATT plan at $130 a month; it's a win win.

(YES people. their EDGE is just as slow as AT&T's EDGE. heck their 3g network is often referred to as "edge-like")...... so where are you guys from, excactly? i once bought soomething for $50 then saw the same thing at onotherplace for $40 and spent the entire day convincing myself that it wasnt the same product. that mine was a better version.

that's cool and all. convince yourselves that t-mobile is so and so better than the others. but lets keep the bashing to a minimum please. it can get pretty petty and annoying.

Well my credit is great and I have TMO and I live in Texas and my coverage is great. I left the hellhole known as AT&T after repetitive crappy customer service both in retail stores and over the phone. I have been with TMO for six months now and have not only saved money on rates but have had nothing but positive experiences both in person and over the phone. Oh and trust me in Dallas and Houston there’s just as many "ghetto people" with AT&T.

if your with tn or whatever that's fine. "I'm with tmobile, I'm happy and I want to keep my tm plan and have an iPhone" there's no need to justify yourselves. Much less justify yourselves by ragging on the other carrier. Why? Some people have had great expirience with tm some with att some with verizon etc...

In some places T-Mobile has better coverage. Where I live I couldn't even sign up for AT&T or Verizon if I wanted too, there coverage is so poor in this area you can't sign up with any zip codes near here. The best coverage in my area is Alltel, Sprint, and T-Mobile.
