I'm on t-mobile in new york, and using the sim removal hack for free unlimited internet, but it seems to have gone down for the second time on me. comverse errors, no email, no weather updates.

this happened before, and i switched back to tzones, which worked fine, then i read there had been an EDGE outage, and they hadn't clamped down on the free sim hack, so i set it back up again. worked fine for about 10 days, and down it went again.

since its sunday, and i'm gonna be sitting around the house all day, wifi will be fine, but would be interested to know if anyone else is having EGDE problems, in NYC or elsewhere on t-mobile.

wats the hack for free Internet?

It's 4:23PM and web browsing and email both WORK for me without any problems. This is in NYC, specifically in Queens.

edge isn't working for me too. i'm using the 5.99 t-zones thing with the proxy hack, it stopped working today.

so this has been down all weekend, still getting COMVERSE errors on monday morning, so I went to mytmobile and added the tzones. I have the proxy hack in place, and we'll see if this works once it gets updated on my account.

So i fixed it. What I did was i went to my t-mobile account and removed the t-mobileweb service, then added it again. And it's working now. Before I did that, I called them and I asked the guy some quesitons, and one of the answers he gave me was that if you use t-mobileweb for the real internet, which you're not supposed to i guess, their systems detect it after a while then blocks you from using it or something.

But I'm thinking of getting the total internet data plan. Is it worth the 15 extra dollars? I'd be able to use irc, youtube and messenger clients on my iphone. But I don't think those things are really worth it. What would be worth it is if it was a lot faster. So does anybody know how much faster the total internet plan is? Oh and how would I be able to use the included hotspots on my iphone? How would i set it up so it would work?

yeah i reset it on the server last time, worked fine for a week. and of course it went down when i was out. pain in the ass. i was using the free hack, which uses wap.voicstream, so is that tzones? i dunno.

i'm on tzones now, i signed back up today, and it came back on 20 minutes after.

gonna test this a week or so, and see if it cuts me out
