Question AT&T Account shows Iphone as device, please help

I bought Iphone, activated and unlocked it using the solutions posted here. Thought I am an exsiting AT&T customer but did not go through AT&T since I did not want to sign a contract. Now When I log in to my account it shows Iphone as my device, I tried to change it but it would not. I called up AT&T to make sure I am not under any contract and they confirm that my contract expired 2006. I also never mention to them that I have an IPhone.

Could somebody give an advice on what to do or expect. I don't want them to lock me into a contract especially since I did not activate or unlock through them. Any advice will be helpful.

    Wink

Just play dumb... AT&T's system automatically registers the IMEI of the phone you are using. They do this for various reasons including insurance purposes (i.e. if you claim you lost your insured phone, it as to be the last phone used on your account).

Nobody will likely notice that you are using an iPhone unless you call in for tech support or CS. Try to limit these calls and if you get "caught" just say a friend of yours is letting you try it before you decide to buy it.
