Default Is it symlink or lockdownd file?

I have managed to unlock my iPhone using anySIM 1.1.1 and iNdependence 1.2.4

I can't seem to sync with iTunes.

I have no media.old file to remove/replace because no symlink was created...unless iNdpendence 1.2.4 does it behind the scenes.

Some threads advised that it is the lockdownd file that needs to be replaced. I have tried 1.0.2 & 1.1.1 original lockdownd files but it didn't help in syncing.

If I used the "patched" lockdownd file that was included in a the downgrade file called "Materials" (forgot which thread), then iTunes would sync, but I can't use the phone function.

Is this a problem the re-virginizing app will solve? Or is there something else I am missing?

    Any help would be appreciated.

have the same problem! used independence to jailbrake and activate an OTB 1.1.1 iphone. Used anysim 1.1 to unlock it. All went well but after the reboot itunes wont show up the iphone anymore and independence cant find it neither...

I replaced the lockdownd file also yeah ... but replaced it with the 1.1.1 original file but that dindt do the trick.

    ^^^doesnt work^^^

I'm having the same problem with syncing, wheres the modded lockdown file and whats the iphone path to it?

Once I get past that I can try to figure out what problem your having.

Was your phone unlocked before the upgrade to 1.1.1? Did you downgrade the baseband before the 1.1.1 upgrade?

Will this work on a Mac?

If I copy and paste that section to the services.plist after the whole process will it work?

I'm using iNdependence 1.2.4 (on a Mac) that does the above commands when cleaning up after the special 1.1.1 upgrade.

My problem is after I unlock with anySIM 1.1, I can sync with iTunes but can't use a Hong Kong SIM. If I replace the lockdownd file with a patched one that allows any SIM chip to be used, I can't sync with iTunes.

It seems like I need a combo lockdownd file (original 1.1 + patched version) to use the phone and sync to iTunes.

when indpendence does that command, you have to have bsd and openssh installed, otherwise the mv and rm command is not valid.
