You could .... Ugh try the dreaded bootloader downgrade but I only suggest that as a last resort if you have the 4.6 bootloader

    You mean using ziPhone?
But ziPhone doesn't "see" my iPhone, because it's in dfu/recovery mode, and ziPhone can't get it out of dfu/recovery mode neither... neither can iPhuc do...

    .... still a brick.....

That happened to me when I tried to RESTORE from an older to a newer version, for example 1.1.3 running, then click Restore 1.1.4 WITHOUT putting the phone in DFU mode first. Sh** happens, but should be resolved easily by putting your phone in DFU mode manually (the thing with holding both buttons and release the power button 2 s after the screen gets black). Then use iTunes to restore any version. ZiPhone for jailbreak/activate/unlock is recommended.

oh man what's up with all these wierd new issues. There is a guy in another thread who has a invincible baseband that wont die. All. Can suggest is try turning the comp on then off and if that does not work just keep it from iTunes for a bit.
