this cutting edge technology has show some many errors in design, how do you unlock in first place, just error design, so that tiny chip inside the turbosim i think is inocuos for the iphone hardware

Nobody is saying that it will. But I'm saying (in my opinion) that you should never user hardware based solutions. Wait for the software solution, if you can.

Googs, your analysis makes sense. I am a conspiracy theorist by nature and believe that these 'hacker' unlock methods that were made available were released with blessing of Grand Ayatullah Steve Jobs and co. . The problem with the latest iphone firmware[1.1.2] was that they patched it so well that their own hacker programmers couldn't find a 'loophole' to unlock it. Thats why you will note on many a forum that this firmware will only be unlockable once 1.1.3 is released [and a new security flaw made available].

Thanks ibnturab, but I wasnt really trying to start a conspiracy just noticed the actual events. I wouldn't be suprised if we didnt have a unlock before christmas to spruce up their sales.

unlocking the iphone has nothing to do with forcing apple to make them unlocked to sell units. it's simply a matter of our freedom. we deserve to have an unlocked phone, so we will do so, regardless of apple's take on unlocked/locked status. WE control our own lives and what we do, NOT big business

No one is forcing you to buy the phones Random.
