    Default [Solution] No Wifi Problem

    Hi,

i solved the no Wifi Problem. My iPhone is now working again perfectly on 1.1.2 jailbroken.

I have an OTB 1.1.2 downgraded to 1.1.1 jailbreak and accidently executed AnySim 1.2u, after that i had no Wifi. I Tried everything restoring to 1.1.1 or 1.0.2 always no Wifi.

I had only Wifi with 1.1.2, but the problem is how to jailbreak a 1.1.2 without Wifi. The only way to jailbreak your iPhone without Wifi is on Version 1.0.2. So i downgraded to 1.0.2 and jailbreak and acvtivated with iDemocrazy. Then i installed over iBrickr the Terminal Pxl package, to execute the terminal commands directly on my phone.

So open the Terminal Software, and execute following commands to install Octoprep manually on 1.0.2. I read everywhere that you have to use 1.1.1 to use Octoprep thats not right 1.0.2 is enough.

    sbin/mknod /private/var/root/Media/disk c 14 1

    and then

    chmod 777 /private/var/root/Media/disk

Then just Update not recover back to 1.1.2 and use the jailbreak 1.1.2 software and 5 minutes later you have an 1.1.2 version and wireless back.

Hopefully others can solve their NO Wifi problem with this solution too.

Where can I get Octoprep to install manually? I have one without wifi and no matter what I cannot get it back and working. It is also missing the bluetooth.

Unzip the archive and put mknod in /sbin in your iPhone and don't forget to set/check the permission of mknod to 755.

I have no wifi, so no chance of changing the setting to 0755.

Do you have BSD Subsystem and Term-VT100 installed ?

BurtonPadres, if this works you're going to make a pal of mine the happiest man on Earth

I will try it as soon as I arrive home (still 8 hours left at work )

    Anyway, thank you for sharing

@googs: that command chmod 777 changes the permissions that means you dont need wifi to execute that command and that means that you have full permissions in that folder read/write/execute. Just use iBrickr to upload the files and then execute those commands in the terminal and it should work (assuming youve installed BSD Subsystem and terminal from iBrickr).

OK im on 1.0.2 jailbraked/activated with anySim 1.0.2 and i have the no wifi problem.
After trying ALL the possible guides to solve this with no luck now im trying this here.
    So

I have already uploaded mknod to sbin directory through ibrckr
and i gave to mknod read /write acces with the command chmod +x mknod

    Every time that i run the command : sbin/mknod /private/var/root/Media/disk c 14 1
on mobile trerminal i get " no such file or directory sbin/mknod"
    What im doing whrong?
