    I got this:

    # ienew
    Resetting the Baseband...Done
    Opened: /dev/tty.baseband
iEraser for 112OTB: tool by geohot
    Waiting for data...
    Can't write

If I use ieraser I get this:
    # ieraser
    Baseband reset
    16 (Resource busy)

    Any ideas?

Thumbs down did not work for me. Still NO WIFI

unfortunately it didn't work for me.

    Situation:
    - 1.1.2 4.6 OTB
    - worked fine with TurboSim
    - some crashes using WiFi
    - Updated to 1.1.4, used ZiPhone
    - no WiFi, WiFi Address: N/A
    - IMEI and ICCID displayed without any problems
    - iPhone Sometimes seems like trying to use WiFi but get's hot and crashes

    Using your method:

everything worked fine. BUT the ienew repeated the second address line something like 10 times:

    # ienew
    Resetting the Baseband...Done
    Opened: /dev/tty.baseband
iEraser for 112OTB: tool by geohot
    Waiting for data...

    Yes, you must kill Commcenter.

    execute this:

    launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist

    and then:

    killall -9 CommCenter

now you can run ieraser and/or ienew without problems

Yes.. .that is expected. Unlocking will fail and send you back to the start of the process if you do it prematurely. Do not run iPlus with "-u" until you have sucessfully erased.

You must ensure CommCenter is not running - that's why the resource is busy. Either use "launchctl unload -w" (with the -w switch) and then reboot, or unload CommCenter AND kill the process.

My solution is not for your problem. You have no WiFi but you have IMEI and ICCID. That is a different problem. Others are having your problem ..you need one of those threads. I carefully listed the symptoms - this is not the thread for you
