For performance reasons it is recommended that you move the templates for your country in PhoneNumberTemplates.txt to the top of the file.
    Hi Tim,

sorry for the long silence since my first request. A friend gave me a trick with the old version that fixed mq but broke gp, and I went with this until today.

I just tested the build 7 with the dynamic library version, and your workaround works really fine !
Guadeloupe, Martinique & French Guiana all work fine now with that elegant solution.

Thanks infinitely for your help & great work !

    Red face

I live in Hong Kong and I travel to China from time to time.

My contact phone numbers are stored with country codes. (eg. +852 xxxxxxxx, +86 xxxxxxxxxxx)

When someone calls in, only their number (without the country codes) is displayed in stead of their name.

I've installed the "PhoneNumber Dynamic Library" and the problem still exist.

Hong Kong phone numbers are 8 digits long.

    Please help.

If you are using a SIM card from Hong Kong in China then the phone number of a received call in non-international format (ie. no "+") will be decomposed with templates for Hong Kong. If the non-international number is a Chinese phone number then this will obviously not work. Is this the situation you're in?

    This is what happens. (bad)
    Code:
    # Framework AppSupport decompo*******Number 12345678901 hk
    0,"","","","12345678901"
This is what should happen (good)
    Code:
    # Framework AppSupport decompo*******Number 12345678901 cn
    1,"86","","","12345678901"

Hi Tim, I modified the template to decompose the mobile phone numbers in India.
    Here is what I added:
    + + + + 9#### #####
    + + + - 9#### #####

This seems to work all right. You may want to add them to your stock template file.
    thanks

For an incoming call the phone-number shown will always be like +91 91234 12345.
Is the NDD also optional for non-mobile numbers?

    Hi guys!

Sorry to sound like a newbie but I do need a bit of help with this. I have pntedit installed and WinSCP and have managed to patch the AppSupport file to show me this

which is unaltered and straight from the phone. I have read through all 909 posts over nearly 6 hours but can't quite get the grasp of the layout and whether I am meant to do these changes (as I am on 1.1.2 OOB and have installed iWorld and set to Australia).

I though I was pretty damn good around a computer however I guess as I get close to 40 maybe I am just not as smart as I thought I was!

Maybe someone could help me with a PhoneNumberTemplates.txt file that suits me or point me in the right direction?

I live in Australia and travel to Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia and New Zealand.

Thanks heaps and I appreciate all your good work so far!

    Cammo

P.S Has anyone written a 'simple, step by step' instruction page for this? I had a look at the wiki but I could swear it is written in Swahili!
