    Question

    I really would like to thank you for the gigantic efforts you did to help us to solve all the problems in FW 1.1.2 for the callerid and the crashing of phone and SMS.
    I live in Morocco and I followed all your advises and everything rocks, except I do not have anymore any settings area to fill the Edge settings ?
    When I created my personal plist related to my country and operator, I filled the settings in the Edge area. I thought that I will have the possibility to change it later in the settings area of the Iphone, but that is not the case.
    Is there any trick to make that possible, and to get in the settings of the Iphone an area to fill the apn........????????
    In other words, how do I leave the edge settings open and editable ??????
    Another question unrelated : how to program in the Operator Services, instead of dialing a number, but sending an SMS to a determined number ? I mean how to just open the SMS part with a determined number, and then we could fill that SMS ???

    Once again all iphone owners are extremely grateful to Aviegas and timschuerewegen for all the efforts to help and solve some severe issues......

    You need to set AllowEDGEEditing to true, like:

    <key>AllowEDGEEditing</key>
    <true/>

    Not having this key or setting it to false will cause the EDGE settings in Settings->Network to be hidden

    The first version of my improved phone number support for firmware 1.1.2 is ready. I would like some feedback before I release it to the general public. If you need any of the 3 improvements I made (see my previous posts on the last few pages of this thread) then send me a PM and I'll share the download link with you. Support is free.

    Hey tim,
    i was in London a couple of days and bought a pay as you go Vodafone sim card. Apparently when I inserted the sim card the numbers reverted back to +xx xxxxxxx. However, when I put in my local sim card in the numbers reverted back to my contacts' names. Any solution to this?
    thanks

    Is this the same problem than the one pierreh described on the previous page?

    Well not exactly, +65 xxxxxxxx is my local number format. However, when I used a pay as you go Vodafone sim card on the same phone when I was in London, instead of my contact's name appearing in the sms inbox I get +65 xxxxxxxx. However, when I used my own sim card, my contact's name does re-appear in my sms inbox.
    thanks

    When you used the UK SIM card a phone number was displayed instead of a contact name. What was the displayed phone number? What is the number in your addresss book for that contact? Please do not use "xxxx". Instead use "123.." for area code and "123.." for subscriber number.

    Question

    Aviegas, you said:

    "You need to set AllowEDGEEditing to true, like:

    <key>AllowEDGEEditing</key>
    <true/>

    Not having this key or setting it to false will cause the EDGE settings in Settings->Network to be hidden"

    In what file-directory should I look for that key ????????
    Also, how about to program in the operatory services a key or whatever , so that the SMS PROGRAM OPENS with a determined number to send an SMS to ?????

    PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAASE

    MANY MANY MANY THANKS in advance

    Question

    Avieggas, I would like to be more precise about my question to program the SMS opening in Operatory services. For example, when you have this key:

    <key>ServiceCode</key>
    <string>777</string>
    <key>ServiceName</key>
    <string>Service client</string>

    When you are in Operatory services, and you press on Service client 777, the iphone is going to dial 777.

    Now, I would like a " ServiceCode" so that when I press that for example 777, the iphone will open the SMS program with a new SMS to 777;

    Is it possible or not , and HOW????

    THANKS A LOT , and sorry for the details and for my insistance
