Yep, I'll stick with the solution here and I am with you. Makes sense do do that manually. The only thing I don't get completely ist how to write a correct network configuration plist even for my Provider o2-DE here in Germany. I have been looking into the ones that are supplied by 1.1.2 for example T-Mobile or o2-UK but I don't get all the meanings of property list items and their values. Like T-Mobile has some for using visual voicemail which I can't on o2 - just delete em??? Is there any source where I could read and learn more on that?
---> Found it here and will give it a shot, thx aviegas

One more: I just deleted iWorld from my test-iphone cause it gave me several "not enough space - delete photos, music etc..." even though I have > 2 GB free space. I deleted iWorld from Installer (still having the ssue) and then had to delete >1000 symlinks via FTP (all the ones that were original are from Oct 24 on my iPhone, all the Symlinks that iWorld generated are same timestamped with install date of iWorld. After deleteing no more space warnings...

If not then that might explain why you still get an error.
EDIT: you can convert that file to plain text (so you can edit it) via
http://140.124.181.188/~khchung/cgi-bin/plutil.cgi
Cool now im getting the fk instead of error 138 and all my caller id / SMS displays work perfectly!!!
Many thanks guys!!!!!!! Now I have to reread it all and try and make logic of it all to understand what I actually did!!
Super - thanks again!

- Download pntedit.exe application (see link above)
- Grab copy of AppSupport from firmware 1.1.2
- Run "pntedit.exe read AppSupport PhoneNumberTemplates.txt"
- Edit PhoneNumberTemplates.txt
- Run "pntedit.exe write AppSupport PhoneNumberTemplates.txt AppSupport.Patched"
- Replace AppSupport on iPhone with AppSupport.Patched
The number of entries for the phonenumber templates table is 32. If you have less entries in your tables file then the last entry will be duplicated x times which should be ok. If you have more entries in your tables file then they will be ignored because there is no room for them.
Have fun.
Hello
I am little confused here. When i run pntedit.exe from my command prompt then it just said AppSupport Phone number template editor - Build 3 and then just Error : Invalid parameter(s)..
How to do, could you pls give me a clear instruction
, Thanks,
Liton

Hmm. I just found out instead of showing +6512345678, it shows +65 12345678
There is a space between them. Maybe this is the reason it isnt working?

Hi guys, please help me ive done everything you described but I do have still a problem:
phone.app keeps crashing, sms.app is fully working as it is over edge.
I'm in Austria with A1 as Carrier so that means
232 01 for the symlink
AT 43 00 0 for the appsupport.
don't know what to do more
please, if anyone has a solution for me

If you use "at" instead of "AT" then it'll probably work.

The "presentation" aspects of callerid "formating" is controlled by the UIPhoneFormats.plist, that is another component.
It's located at /System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework/PhoneFormats/
GEt the file and edit it. It's very straight forward.
But note: the country selection in this file is controlled by the Regional Format that is selected in the International settings page. If your country is not listed there, you have two options:
a) Apply a patch to "release" all the "locked" formats (they are incomplete thought)
b) Place your country settings under the "us" entry or whatever locale you select.

Sorry, I did use "at" not "AT" maybe there is another problem or maybe somenone
could create an appsource file and a carrier_Austria.plist if I give you the required
information.
Sms.app is working as well as edge
only the phone.app is making troubles, I can dial any number and it says call
ended and call failed, then I'm loosing signal strength for some seconds and it
comes back, same is when I'm "receiving" calls.
please help me
funny thing: I updated to 1.1.2 because of the working missed call notification and now it's the only thing which is working

If you are having trouble making and receiving calls, then the you have a different problem, and is not related to the CallerId matching and formating.
