    timschuerewegen,

one last question (i promise lol).... why do i still need to create a plist for my operator and symlnk it? all i have done so far is upgrade to 1.1.2, jailbreak it.... my phone got signal but no phone or sms function.... your amazing pntdit fixed both of those problems as well as the caller id issue.... do i still need to create a plist or my carrier and symlink it? what will that do?
the whole processing to get into the AppSupport starts by having the correct setup in the carrier plist. The SIM card MCC-MNC will determine all sorts of things, including how to process the numbers. If it failt in the middle of the processing (no carrier plist) something goes wrong (I do not know what) and the phone does not behave as expected.

The phone is designed to work only with "approved" carriers and in the correct countries. So to be 100% sure it will work accordingly, we must add all the missing pieces. That includes the plists and patching AppSupport.

if i want to use different sims from different operators in my iPhone do i have to create several plist files (one for each of them)? and how much different one can i put it? 6 would be ideal, would it be possible?

You can have as many as you want, but just do not wast precious disk space with that. Use just what you really need.

I personally have SIM cards from 3 different countries, so I know what you mean.

It`s specifc for Brazil because it uses the long distance multiple operator codes for real matching like aviegas stated in a previous post.

i can replace as neeed argentinas operator codes for ar

    the trick is:

    br 55 00 0 2 8
    br 55 00 041 2 8
    br 55 00 031 2 8
    br 55 00 021 2 8
    br 55 00 015 2 8
    br 55 00 014 2 8
    br 55 00 - 0 8

it works like a f charm

thanks timschuerewegen for the apps and aviegas & crckn for pointing to the right path

ahh I see, yes Brazil has this multiple operator thing, we dont have that here in Argentina, I done well with the ones posted at the dev wiki, specifically the 8 digits version.
Do you know when is going to be ready for 1.1.2?

I received many PMs from 1.1.2 users, sorry I can't help I'm still on 1.1.1
