    bard108,

i just confirmed, in order to change the permissions using vt100 terminal or winscp you need to install BSD subsystem

You need the 8 digits one because local landline numbers are 8 digits.
(Assuming you don't care about those 6-digit 13xxxx numbers.)

I need 8-digits for Switzerland. Now I have checked the AppSupport files from http://cynix.org/iphone/AppSupport-1.1.1-8.tar.gz and when i opened the file, i found this comment: quick and dirty hack (7 digits) by cynix.

Can anyone send us an updated AppSupport file for 8-digits and firmware 1.1.1?

    thanks a lot!

if you are using firmware 1.0.2 you can use ibrickr

if you are using firmware 1.1.1 you need to instal on the iphone BSD subsystem and Open SSH.

the you need to install WinSCO on your computer and you can use that to put the file on your phone.

Are you sure to work this on 1.1.1?

Coz i tried it in 1.1.1 and after rebooting it will crash and ended up in apple logo.

I failed in 1.1.1 twice using this method,

    but works great in 1.02.
