Removing AppSupport leaves it with both countries not working, and only if I restore the iPhone I get the german numbers working again.
Which AppSupport Patch are you talking about: Cydia or Installer and full version number would be of help in tracking it down.

yeah I use the one from cydia, it's identified there as 1.4-3 not sure which build this counts for. The SMS still shows in Germany, but the incoming calls are without international prefix and are not recognized in Germany...

OK that's the latest version, 1.4-3 means PhoneNumber Dynamic Library build 14 - Cydia repackage 3.

The Cydia packages of the AppSupport Patch make a backup and restore the original application when uninstalled so when removed your system should be exactly the same as before installing.

You did reboot after installing/uninstalling right? I believe it's mandatory to activate the features.

Anyway the repackage 3 has a utility called appsupportlogging that switches logging on or off so, as root, either by SSH or by terminal run "appsupportlogging on", reboot, make/receive a couple of calls and check the directory "/var/logs/PhoneNumber" for content. I recommend you contact timschuerewegen since he can be the one to make sense of the log contents. Remember to turn logging off with "appsupportlogging off"when you stop having the need for it.

Also check "/var/backups" for a file named be.skynet.users.appsupport_1.4-3_backup.tar.gz. That is your original AppSupport application, so restoring it should bring the system to the same state as original. If that isn't happing please verify this file for contents and let me know if it contains other than:
    Code:
    -rwxr-xr-x root/wheel 83712 2008-02-11 01:03 System/Library/Frameworks/AppSupport.framework/AppSupport
I know it's not much but it's the best I can help with, regards,

I did now a restore of my iphone. Now OTB when I check the recent calls all calls were miss-identified. I save them internationally, and they income locally. Then I installed AppSupport Patch (same one from cydia) and it fixed it for israeli numbers, not german ones. This is by the recent calls list, since I am currently not in germany I cannot check if actually incoming calls would work - but I doubt. I just seems appsupport doesn't work with the german numbers and E-Plus german carrier which I use when I'm there.
    What should I do next?

I see now "PhoneNumber DyLib" in cydia repos (bigboss) - is that a newer version of AppSupport?
Unfortunately it fails to install for me (after removing appsupport) usual subprocess exit code error...

I'll leave this to Tim or someone that knows better what could be the problem.

Yes it's an update to bring the name and version up to date with the upstream versions. You have found a bug that is corrected in version 14-3, so in a while it'll be on Cydia.

    Thanks for the report.

Not sure if it's related to PhoneNumber DyLib, but now CallInfo Data (all) from bigboss/cydia fails to install because of a dependency problem. It seems to be related to PhoneNumber DyLib... I'm not sure where to report these problems?

It is not a problem with PhoneNumber DyLib, it's on purpose. The Version of CallInfo Database that is on the repo is flawed, so we are in the process of replacing it. Please simply uninstall all CallInfo packages and wait a day or two (the working version will be 1-3).

And... this is as a good a place as any other to report these problems.

Now you better activate debugging and send timschuerewegen the log he asked.

    Cheers,
