    It allows a number displayed on the keypad with an area code to be matched to the same phone number without an area code and vice versa.

    does setting it to "(any)" differ from not having this key?
    anyway, "(any)" works, and the original value "###########" didn't work correctly for non-mobile numbers when dialing without area codes,

    thanks a lot

    What about looking up the number/area code in the callinfo db and display any matches? Is that possible?

    <string>00070######:070######</string>

    Btw, if you had added "000" before the "0" in the NationalDialingPrefix array instead of replacing "0" with "000" then it would probably also have worked.

    You can use Erica's plutil on your iPhone to convert plists back to binary format.
    Tim,

    Can you tell me what exactly I need to type in the VT100? I have the plutil already, but not sure of command. I want to change PhoneNumberTemplates_3.plist back to binary format.

    Thanks,
    Russell

    Costa Rica just changed phone numbers from 7 to 8 digits. So now the caller ID does can't match the names anymore. Has anybody worked a fix for this? Will the appsupport patch be update to correct this?
    Thanks

    Pardon my ignorance, I can't say if you did the change for Costa Rica, I have the appsupport patch (1.1.4) the readme says build 13 (bet 9), installed with Installer v3.01 and it does no work with the new numbering system. I don't know if there is a newer version, but it does not show up in the installer.

    Perhaps I should explain further. The caller ID correctly detects the name in the call log, but the SMS messages does not. There I get +506######## instead of the name of the person who sent the message.
    Thanks for you help

    Hello Tim,

    I have a couple updates for the Venezuela section of your build. For people having problems in terms of the SMS not matching, this solved my problem. In the third plist template (PhoneNumberTemplates_3.plist) I added the following values for the "ve" section.

    <key>ve</key>
    <array>
    <string>+014#######:0414#######</string>
    <string>+0412#######:0412#######</string>
    <string>+016#######:0416#######</string>
    <string>58412#######:0412#######</string>
    <string>58414#######:0414#######</string>
    <string>58416#######:0416#######</string>
    <string>58212#######:0212#######</string>
    </array>

    Now my SMS text messages match to my contacts stored in the phone.

    The only problem I have now is with text messages I send or receive to international numbers. For example I have numbers for USA stored in my contacts in the following format (for miami for example) 001-305-XXX-XXXX

    in my SMS text messagess in some cases it does not match it with my contacts and and I simply see the text message tagged with a number in the following fashion +5801305XXXXXXX or 1305XXXXXXX and it does not match it to the number stored in my contacts.

    How can I fix this Tim?

    Thanks in Advance.
