No. CPPhoneNumberCopyNormalized cleans the phone number string before it is decomposed into parts and compared to another decomposed phone number.

I am totally stuck on this display issue.
My sim is gr and my provider is gr
I tried editing UIPhoneFormats in the gr section it made no difference.
Then I read that General settings international region has an effect. There is no option for greece dispite adding extra regions from installer. But Hell I dont like greek number formats anyway.
So I selected the UK in regional options and then changed the uk section in UIPhoneFormats
NADA! Nothing I do to UPPhoneFormats.plist makes any diferance to the way numbers are displayed
HELP!

To have the iPhone recognise the changes in the uk section. Change the uk to gb. Then any amendments will be recognised:
For example,
<key>gb</key>
<array>
<string>0## ### ####</string>
<string>00 $</string>
<string>01### ######</string>
<string>01709 ######</string>
<string>0114 ### ####</string>
<string>01302 ######</string>
<string>01#1 ### ####</string>
..
..
<string>+44 8## ### ####</string>
<string>+44 7### ######</string>
</array>
Good luck

Download the latest version of "Framework Tool" and run
su -c "Framework UIKit UIDefaultCountryCode" mobile
to know which section of the UIPhoneFormats.plist will be used for formatting phone numbers.

tim please help. ok i'm using winscp i'm on 1.1.3fw. i downloade the latest appsupport file. when i extract there is two folders one for 1.1.2 one for 1.1.3 ok i copied the 1.1.3 folder over just fine. my question is do i have to drag and copy the appsupport and auppsupport.org from the 1.1.2 file for this work or just the 1.1.3 support file. i assume i just copy over the 1.1.3 since that's what i'm running buy assuming gets us all in trouble. could you give me some direction please. also any chance you know what the format for finland is? so i can edit the template correctly. thanks
