hey but izzard, said in his thread step # 4 "pwned he iphone" how is this possible? I know it doesnt support it, but when you have to browse the ipsw I chose 1.1.4, so what do I have to do to pwn it?

    Default Did it work

    Hi Izzard,

    :hack:

I'm afraid I have to reort that your method didn't work. Got the 1011 as you predicted on first restore but got 1603 on 2nd restore. Phone went to permanent reboot (icon and wheel), left it do it's thing for quite a while, switched off and switched on, now in permanent restore mode, use liberty+ to kick it out but now in emergency calls only mode. No point in doing the pwn leg of your instruction. Thanks for trying, at least I'm no worse off and had the thrill of hope in trying.

Does anyone have any ideas of where to go from here, or should the 'repair needed' and 1011 brigade just give up and, as the song says, 'start all over again'

Please try to use iPlus 2.0B (use google to find the software) to unlock iPhone 1.14 once you have restored the firmware 1.14.

    RESTORE USING XCODE.

On a Mac, try this. Make sure you have the latest, official 2.0 firmware package (i.e. iPhone1,1_2.0_5A347_Restore.ipsw) and the iPhone SDK.

Start XCode and open the Organizer (it's on the Window menu).

Use that to restore your broken iPhone to 2.0 (iPhone1,1_2.0_5A347_Restore.ipsw). It will probably take about half an hour and leave you with the new-style "connect to iTunes" graphic. The "info" button should confirm that your IMEI and SIM card's ICCID are now visible to the phone, and putting in an appropriate SIM should allow you to activate the phone with iTunes 7.7. E.g. I used an old O2 PAYG SIM and it activated just fine.

No - the SDK is for OS X only.
