Hi I am in Calgary, I did two yesterday with the free method. If any questions you can pm.

I'm in Calgary and unlocked my iPhone yesterday using the free method (PPC Mac.) It would have been nice to have someone else there. Good luck with the unlocks.

Couple of heads up with FIDO:
- EDGE will not work
- SMS is great, but you will not receive a voicemail notification SMS

EDGE works for me. Make sure you have Data enabled, and the following entered in your EDGE settings. Btw, taking out the SIM will reset the EDGE settings:

APN: internet.fido.ca
User: fido
Pass: fido

Hey Man. Awesome you got it unlocked.

I've tried even EDGE configuration possible and a helpful CSR was totally stumped.

I've started a thread in here and I'm not the only FIDO user with no EDGE. (http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6205)

Couple of questions for ya:

1) How did you unlock with a Mac or PC?
2) What version of iTunes?
3) What program to act and jailbreak? Versions?
4) How old is your SIM? What phone did it come out of?

Edge works for me also on Rogers

LOL I will never use it again though, got charged $16 for checking the weather and email.

Im in Calgary but i already unlocked my phone on the first day . Took me 8 hours lol.

Performed the Software Unlock when it was released and i had Wi-Fi problems.
Worked on the fix for the Wi-Fi and now when i head out i can search with an open Wi-Fi to get on the internet.

I also reloaded PACAY ...now i have Youtube...very nice.

everything is set up with R*gers sim

Don't ever use EDGE...just use Wi-Fi..it's free when you find and open Hot Spot/ Wi-Fi.
