So Apple replaced my brick. 1.1.1 question
After a first attemp at unlocking gone very wrong, I was left with an Iphone without an IMEI, CCDI, BT, Wifi...etc. Then I just messed it up on purpose and it was a true brick. Sent it in and Apple gave me a new one, not even a reflash.
So, out of the box, the new Iphone was "activated" so that I could use all the functions but I had to put my SIM back in.
Anyways, its got 1.1.1. Is there any way of unlocking with anysim without downgrading to 1.0.2 on a mac?
Also, on a side note, the entire repair process is amazing. The kit to send the phone has a little "iphone" box with a red cross on it. very cool. The entire process toke less than 48 hours.
thanks

do a full 1.1.1 restore and jail break and activate with CARNAVAL and you should be just fine =)

by bricked - you mean you can't turn it on - or it turns on but with a black screen etc.
if that were the case, either way you're gonna get the boot from apple cuz they dont service bricked iphones
try searching the forums for ways to unbrick your phone - its out there
