There is just one problem, with the .pxl method it seems you don't have to worry about permissions ie. setting permissions to 755. With iNdependence I think the app needs to have the correct permissions, if anyone knows how to easily change the anysim apps permissions to 755 on the mac I would appreciate being taught. As soon as I know how to do this I am going to try to do this method with my iphone. Thanks in advance.

I have added one more explanation to the process. It refers to anySIM app. iNdependence is setting the permissions for you

Thanks for updating the guide volkspost... Just wanna make sure, you actually dont have to enable SSH etc with the apptap installer?
And last: has anyone succeded using this?
-
You dont have to use the app tapp installer at all. but you can - afterwards. It took me playing an hour with my unlocked phone, then I downloaded AppTapp Installer to my Mac. If you want to use App Tapp Installer to load more software on your iPhone, you can do that afterwards at any time.
Download version 3.1 to you Mac. Unzip it and double-click the software on your Mac (the iPhone is connected to the Mac, iTunes and iTunes Helper shut down). App Tapp installer installs itsself on the phone - no ssh, no sftp for you to do. After a minute or so, you'll find a new Software named "Installer" on your iPhone - thats it. Start it, hit Community Sources and get all the Apps you want.

so there is no need for the "lockdownd" file to replace if you use anySim?
or do you still need to upload that file?
-
Thank you very much... i really appreciate it!
I'll get my brand new iPhone tomorrow, imported to Denmark from San Francisco, so im ready to unlock...
It would though be nice to hear some more people who have tried this with succes!?!
Edit: Good question, what about the lockdown file? Also, does youtube with Wifi work with this proces?

no, you don't need to upload modified "lockdown.plist"

Any idea on whether this process allows you to switch SIM cards without having to reactivate or unlock again?
