SIM unlock possible ???

hi everybody
im in india and have an OTB ver 1.1.2 iphone which i know by now obviously cannot be hacked :-).
theres this guy here who claims that he can take my SIM for a couple of hours and do something with it after which ONLY my SIM will work on the phone perfectly without doing anything to my phone.
is it really possible? wat do u all think hes gonna do ?
he's charging me Rs.3000 for it... (75$)

No it cannot be unlocked and tell everyone in India to stop stealing all the unlock for free without donating something to the Dev Team.

he isnt going to try to unlcok the phone .. he is going to do something to my indian SIM (Vodafone) after which i simply put it into mu UNLOCKED iphone and it works ..
i wanted to know if it is possible ? should i try giving him my SIM?
hey guys i wld love to donate soemthing to the dev team .. which im gonna do right away... dunno about the other folks here in india though

dude, im an indian, and whatever that guy is gonna do, will definitely not unlock ur iphone... Just wait for a little while... the new bootloader will be hardware dumped and an exploit will be found soon... just wait and have faith in the dev team...

You're getting confused.

Your phone is not unlocked, v1.1.2 can only be jailbreaked and activated not sim unlocked.

I wouldn't imagine the guy can do anything with your sim unless he is perhaps cloning a pay as you go at&t or O2 sim perhaps if that can be done? Even if it could it would be a waste of money as a pay as you go sim is only a £5 or free in some cases.

Sounds like you are gonna get ripped off either way.

I will donate through Paypal as soon as i get my iPhone(already purchased ..still in US
