Exclamation [SCAM - DO NOT BUY] Possible Unlock 1.1.2 OOB

    Hi Guys,

I'm yet another dedicated reader but here is my 1st post

The writer of this website claims to have the unlock for 1.1.2 OOB.
    Ref: hxxp://www.vo.gs/iphone/67/last+news...1.1.2+otb.html

I followed their request, sent an email, and have received another web link where the unlock can be purchased.
Here is that link : hxxp://www.factconsult.com/

Can anyone confirm if this is legit or just another scam? I would've placed the order myself, but knowing there have been scams floatin around I am little cautious.

Neverthless, if this isn't a scam then great news! O'wsie moderators kindly add this to where it belongs - "SCAM WEBSITES"

There's a disclaimer on the page:

The 5 pound fee is for the 'ongoing developement', so my sixth sense tells me it's just another scam.

looks like the owner of the site (Roman Olney) was asking newbie-questions on another forum 10 days ago, so i'm guessing it's a scam?

haven't we all learned by now that websites that are poorly designed (such as this one) and without video or other kinds of proof are 100% scams?

    It's quite obvious that it's a scam.
The comments section on the originating blog cites a response which "confirms" the unlock made a minute after the announcement of the link itself.

    So:
    a) Some guy is trying to be funny.
    b) Someone wants to make some money, advertises the link and then confirms it (foolishly) a minute later under a fake account.

Of course I could be wrong, but current experience suggests that the internet is actually quite a small space. If someone was brewing up a solution, they would create hype either way. Promoting that you have almost completed an unlock solution and will sell it when complete, providing some proof of it, and then packaging and selling it after submitting it to review for some respectable folks is the way to go if you want to commercialize unlocks of this kind.

If I were the mod here, I'd put these websites which offer unlocks on the spam and scam list by default.
