I think we could share our successful experience in running the iPhone - does anyone been able to run an unlocked iPhone in the following countries:
- france
- italy
- poland
- greece

Every country works. It's not depending on the country but depending on the telecom provider

Yeah Greece WIND GR works like a charm..

For those in France, which carriers are you using?
I have to buy a SIM card there this week to use for one month.

everything works..

Poland -- all providers seems to work fine except Era GSM, which doesn't allow incoming calls in some locations (namely Wroclaw, due to some outdated BTS technology or something). If you know Polish, there's a thread on MyApple.pl forum about this.

Austria - Everything works like a charm.
