# chmod 555 /usr/libexec/lockdownd
12.) Kill lockdownd. It will be restarted automatically. Another method would be to reboot the iPhone. If you killed lockdownd simply pull the slider to unlock. You should now be on the springboard and get a carrier signal.

When using the jailbreak gui you will have a small program called killall in your iPhone.
Simply run 'killall lockdownd' on a shell, f.e. while being logged in the iPhone with putty.

Unlock does not work in step 4 (anySIM1.2). Can you help?
Hi Cathul and all who can potentially help me,
I am from Germany, bought an unlocked iPhone in new york (legally) and stupidly upgraded to 1.1.2 on itunes.
Result was a locked phone.
I followed then all your steps from 1.-4. but the anySim1.2 did always show an error at the end. How can I unlock it to again do phone calls?
AS you can imagine I am deesparate..
CAN YOU HELP?
