[Revirginize] Unlocked 1.0 (1A543a) version (03.12.06_G) - What is the best way ?
I have been reading some threads about doing it to the 1.0.2 version and hate to waste peoples time but I can't find any feedback on whether the method is the same for me even though I have a totally different firmware and modem version.
Please be so kind as to point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.

Doesn't anyone have a clue? Or am I asking a dumb question, because if I am, by all means tell me so.

Why don't you try to update to 1.0.2 then unlock it or derectly update to 1.1.1 and unlock it with anySim 1.1? Since the revirginizier is for 1.0.2 and update to 1.0.2 from 1.0 does not semi brick the phone, I think doing as I said would be a good method. However, you should be very careful with every step that you take Bro.

Thanks for the reply man. I've been considering this method but wanted to be sure that the update from an unlocked 1.0 to 1.0.2 does not brick the phone.
I'll probably wait a day or two more to see if anyone has feedback and then do it.
Cheers.

hey i have the same thing man, when i was unlocking my phone i dint upgrade the firmware so its 1.00 and now i was thinking of revirginzing to 1.1.1 and i cant find any decent guide or anything so i thought i will wait for couple of days n it has been a month already and couldnt find anything yet so i dont know man what to do.

Yeah, I would have thought that more people encountered this problem and would at least be able to share their experiences let alone creating a tutorial. As long as I know that there is a safe way to do it, I'll figure out how to do the thing myself.
I think I'm gonna go:
1.0--->1.0.2
revirgivize 1.0.2
1.0.2---->1.1.1
unlock 1.1.1
It is quite easy to jailbreak the phone at any of these steps. I just pray that non of them lead to bricking.
Thanks

@ 04deveni,
You are in the exact same situation as myself.
I have an unlocked FW 1.0 phone and been wanting to upgrade to 1.02. I am reluctant to do anything that bricks the phone in the procedure.
Anyways please please let us know your findings if you were successful.
From what I know, upgrading from 1.0 to 1.02 will lock the phone since the baseband will be overwritten.
Now the big question is whether the BB has been already corrupted in your first unlocking trial or no and I before you ask, I do not know the answer.
IF it was corrupted in the first unlock then this means your phone will be bricked and you cannot unlock it until your virginize it.
Here is where it gets tricky. If you don't know which unlocking method was used in the first place (anysim earlier version or IPSF) then it becomes a pickle. If IPSF was used then you cannot virginize your phone with the known methods.
Difficult situation, I Know

So now I've tried to run ibrikr with the phone in restore mode and tried restoring it to 1.0.2 this way because maybe I would have been able to avoid the unknown (6) error. Anyways the phone got stuck booting into restore mode and wouldn't turn on. ibrikr allowed me to try and make it boot again and when I did that I got my IMEI number back but now the ICCID is unknown where as before there was a number there.
Any thoughts?

hey buddy i was thinking of updating my phone to 1.1.1 tonite as i have tmrw off but then i thought i will just read ur thread as u r the only one person here wid the same firmware n i dont think i will do it any more but my plans for tonite was to revirginze using big boss method http://360patches.com/virginize.html which i think is the easiest one i have looked from a month and using carvanal or jailbreakme.com when i was looking how to use the big boss method it gives u an option saying which firmware u have 1.00 or 1.01 or 1.02 so i was pretty confidence on that method but u scared me man i dont know if i should do anything right now or not
