Default Reversing 1.11 New Theoretical Approach - Trying it right now

Hi all, I have thought thru the issue of reversing a 1.11 upgrade.

*slot in software reversing done by a number of people in the forum*

At the end of the software reversing, bb is still 4.02 right?

So what if you ssh in the old ieraser, which was used in GeoUnlock, and run it?

Theoretically if ieraser can remove the baseband firmware, we will be in a *no-wifi/gsm* state, and after that force restore a 1.02 over it, which will check for the bb and fail, and flash over the bb.

*NOTE* all this is theoretical, I'm still trying it out. Whoever brave enough to jump in with me and risk their own iPhones, welcome you brave'uns!!

*caresses my iPhone lovingly before jumping in*

    ----------------------------

Unlocked 29 iPhones and counting in Singapore!

    1 x TSIM
    2 x SilverSIM
    9 x GeoUnlock
    17 x anySIM

people would be more eager but ieraser gave alot of people a 0011 error that is yet to be fixed I think the dev team want to think up something better before they start getting people to risk their phones

Using Test Point you can replace the image, the bootloader or the bootcore even.
You have full access to the flash chip via the bootrom. So yes you can downgrade.

A little reminder: destroying the bootloader or just making it inoperable leaves you with a REAL brick, you can't fix this with software. I would advise a lot of caution if people don't know what they're doing. A little patience helps...in a couple of days or even earlier, a baseband downgrade solution should be available, maybe even something better. Just sit tight and when you get the "itching" to do something, just remember what happened when some of us updated to FW 1.1.1. We were lucky...maybe we won't be that lucky next time. Keep that in mind. For those living in the US and having instant access to a local Apple Store this may not be a real problem, with the exception of the monetary side. For us international iPhones owners, bricking our iPhones leaves us with no easy solution to get a new one instantly. Never forget this.

Did not work. After Eraser I still have fully functional Wi-Fi, it has not erase Wi-Fi fuction. Eraser does not seem to work correctly. May be because of incompatible secpack
