Quick question.

If I restore back to 1.1.1 (my phone was out-of-the-box 1.1.1 too):

a) How do I do this safely?
b) Will anySIM 1.1 work again? Or will I have to downgrade to 1.0.2 -- virginize, then upgrade again?

You'll be fine. Just restore. There's no need to downgrade. You'll have to jailbreak and activate again and there wont be any need to unlock. I restored my unlocked 1.1.1 twice already.

I had read on a forum yesterday that Apple tweaked the official 1.1.1 firmware download. I found this guide that says I should download the firmware from that site:

Does that make sense? I don't want to use jailbreakme.com because I don't want installer.app on my phone right now...I am going to use iNdependence.

When I first unlocked my phone from out of the box 1.1.1, I had to downgrade - activate/jailbreak then upgrade back to 1.1.1 to unlock.

Will I have to do that this time again?

yes, but no unlock

you might have to restore with an older1.1.1 restore program. Fortunately i have a copy and dont have to worry about apples new tweak. Im sure if you do a search youll find a pre tewak 1.1.1 restore file.

If it got those infos it should be ok and the org. v1.1.1 firmware (with the tiff hold)

that's the one I have.

SO, to re-iterate:

1) Go to iTunes - Alt/Option click on restore and choose the ipsw file to restore my phone
2) Run jailbreakme.com via the emergency call function
3) I won't have to re-do the unlock with anySIM

Since I need to restore 1.1.1 into my iPhone which is unlocked by jailbreakme.com and run AnySIM 1.1.

I want to clearify :
1) What is your iTunes version ?
3) I need not run OneSIM before restore the 1.1.1.
