Default Restoring to 1.1.4 from 1.1.3 using iTunes

I've decided to take the plunge and use iPlus to downgrade the bootloader as I am having issues with my 1.1.2 otb phone that I have been using with a Stealth SIM. It gives me the "No SIM installed" message once a day and i'm sick of having to fiddgit with the card tray.
My only concern is I have upgarded to 1.1.3 and now when i'm reading the instructions to start the iPlus process it says:
"Before attempting this make sure you have restored your iPhone to 1.1.4 using iTunes."

How do I do this? Am I just thinking too much into it? Is it just upgrading in iTunes when the message comes up that there is new software available?

Sorry if it's a dumb question.

When you select restore it will ask you if you want to restore and update or just restore.

Thanks so much! On a side note, do you know if I should be taking out the Stealth SIM before beginning the process?
