I seem to have a problem where my iPhone locks into a reset look if I open mail/web. I restored 1.1.2 via iTunes, but the jailbreaker gave me a no-oktoprep error. I assume I now have to downgrade to 1.1.1, install oktoprep, and reupgrade? The AnySIM 1.2.1u does not stay in effect?

when you are at 1.1.1, you install oktoprep and then UPGRADE to 1.1.2- restoring to 1.1.2 (or.1.1.1) will erase oktoprep. Look for the "how to" on this forum by member, Sassha...there is some good info there. Cheers

1.2.1u should stay in effect. Restoring 1.1.2 doesn't reflash your baseband (if you were already running it) and the downgrade process won't either.

You will get complaints with an non-jailbroken/activated 1.1.2 restore about "non supported SIM card" in iTunes, but this is normal. Once you've jailbroken you'll be fine.

And yes, the answer you're looking for is to put you phone into DFU mode (from 1.1.2), restore to 1.1.1, do the #*307# trick to jailbreak and activate, oktoprep, UPDATE back to 1.1.2, and then jailbreak again.

Too bad I have to go back down to 1.1.1 to run oktoprep. Any chance for a non-oktoprep jailbreak one day?

Did the steps you said and Im back to 1.1.2. No AnySIM was needed. I did however sync the wrong profile. How can I re-sync the correct one?
