Restore to Factory Default
I am sure this has been covered at some state, but despite having searched, I can't find the information:
What I want to know is, if I purchase an 1.1.2 iphone, jail break etc..., is it possible to restore the device to factory defaults at a later date.
I have seen references to restore and to virginize, but am some what confused. Is there a glossary of terms commonly used so that others could consult before they need to ask a similar question to which I am asking.
Please folks don't Flame me for this, but if you do I will understand.
Thanks

You should read, read, read. It's all here. Your best bet would be to find a "friend" who has a hacked iPhone.

A RESTORE will just put everything back, since you havent unlocked the phone ( because there is not unlock solution as of this moment)
therefore a plain restore will make the Iphone to the original settings

Thank you car__34. I appreciate your response, but will this remove third party software also (which is what I want)

Have read, read and read. If you had read and understood my post, you would have seen that I was suggesting a Glossary (In case you are not familiar with this term) - A list of commonly used terms. This is very simple, should be made into a Sticky and would save a lot of duplicated posts and foolish questions.
It is often difficult to located the information that one requires in a Forum. The search function doesn't often help either due to the large numbers, and which must be scanned in order to try and distill the required knowledge.
A Sticky Glossary would be an excellent idea!
