Thumbs up [Request][BL4.6&BL3.9] Universal Unlock (AnySim or IPSF) needed for the community

We now can unlock any IPhone version (at least by today).
But one has to remember a lot of things like BL, FW version and also new unlocking process are somewhat risky. (Because it is done almost directly from Installed without proper checks and confirmations.).

It would be great to have an application, call it AnySimU (U stands for Universal) - which would check for BL version, Auto-Locking status, FW version before doing Unlock and then apply proper Unlock.

This way, I believe, we'll get a lot less bricks. (I've seen myself even professionals sometimes makes costly mistakes because of large numbers of IPhone to unlock).

I'm sure there will be donations to anyone capable of solving this task.

Or just use your eyes and READ the guides properly through before you attempt to do an unlock. The unlock is very easy if you just take the time to find the information about your iPhone firmware.

Don't be testy now. It's a good idea. Having a single-button unlock program would eliminate so many 'HOW I UNLOK' threads.

This was first thing I thought after 4.6 unlock was released. It will be nice if one unlocker application is released for both bootloaders and when new FWs are released to update one application instead of several different.

I'd love this as well. I'm a software developer so I'm going to look into what I can do to help. I'm also interested in learning more about the actual exploits so we can get a IPSF style unlock for 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 OTB phones. I'll try my best to get into this stuff as soon as possible to give back to the community which have helped me so much.

it's a good idea guyz, but Geohot made the BL4.6 unlock and the Dev Team made AnySIM so maybe this will delay it.

I think the working now should be to have a full 1.1.3 unlocked with its baseband

there still is a way - a simple proxy application that checks all the version and then launches installation of the required app, using part of installer code

Does it matter? Both are open source so it should be possible to develop a general solution anyhow. My main concern is testing since I've only got one phone and don't want to screw it up. Hence, most of any work I may be able to do will be "in the dark" so only experienced people with brass balls should test it.

Thank you for replies! It is not hard for me to read manuals over Internet as I unlocked more than 10 IPhones already with different BB/BL.

But it is rather difficult to understand all this stuff for a newbies which just bought themself an IPhone.

And I'm sure if this Universal Unlock is available - it will be VERY popular.
